Benefits of Automated Distributed
Document Capture & Classification

docAlpha Features & Architecture

Features
  • Fully automated operation: From document identification to release into database
      or document management system.
Process any document type: Allows processing fixed forms, semistructured and
unstructured documents within the same system.
Distributed network capture / Remote Distributed capture: Users may work on a
local network or across the globe using Internet connection.
    Flexibility: Concurrent licensing allows installing on as many stations as needed;
the server only monitors how many licenses are used at the same time.
Self-learning capability: Increase your cost saving over time with Artsyl’s unique
Auto-Find: Automatically learns and locates data fields on invoices and other forms
      as you work.
Scalability: Simply add more workstations to increase volume. The system will do
workload balancing and job tracking automatically.
Recognition independent: Works with most of the popular OCR and ICR engines.
Centralized administration: Setup, security, workflow and performance monitoring
is centralized and can be done locally or remotely.

docAlpha Distributed Client-Server Architecture

Artsyl docAlpha Diagram Design Station: Administrator designs, tests and fine-tunes semi-structured document and fixed form definitions. Traditional alternative to self-learning.

Auto-Registration Station:Auto-imports incoming documents from file folders, FTP, E-mail, MFP panels and fax servers.

Scan Stations: Controls document archival systems scanning and image enhancement.

Recognition Stations: Extracts data from documents. Provides image pre-processing, automatic classification, machine-print, hand-print, barcode & checkmark recognition, batch splitting and assembling, data field and table extraction.

Universal Concurrent Stations:Users visually validate and correct any errors to eliminate false positives, with the help of automatic business rules, DB lookups and reconciliations which flag potential issues. docAlpha Server learns from validated results to improve Intelligent Document Recognition.

Export Station: Transforms document images to chosen output type, communicates with back-end systems and sends images, extracted data and metadata to one or more back ends, including file system, FTP, databases, document management, accounting and Controls document archival systems.

Monitoring Station: Monitors application performance to identify bottlenecks.

Administration Station: Administrator sets up and adjusts workflows, stations and user accounts for best performance and security.

Server: Coordinates and load balances the stations, stores data during processing, manages workflows, batches and concurrent licenses.
